Creating great looking websites and design work within strict branding guidelines is something that I have a good deal of experience with. Producing work that utilises only specific colours or typefaces can be challenging, but ultimately be rewarding.
On the other hand I am also well versed in creating logos, identities and branding guidelines from scratch, having a real feel for what a company does is critical when either re-branding or starting from new.
If you would like a logo designed for your company or advice on your existing logo and branding, please get in touch, I’d be happy to discuss your requirements. Please see examples of my branding & logo design work below.
As well as a new website I was asked design a new logo for the Guernsey based beauty business. The design is light and simple using flat colours which is a look very much in vogue with modern beauty brands. The result is a bold, easily recognisable logo design.

I was approached by Nelio to design a logo for his new Guernsey based delicatessen. After going through different concepts it was decided that the logo be comprised of simple bold, bold silhouettes of bread, cheese and an ornate olive oil bottle. The logo is used on all their printed material including menus and outdoor signage.

Independent Skips already had an existing logo, however I was given free range when re-designing the new logo. After I had sent through some initial designs we refined several ideas to form the final logo that we were all happy with. The logo will be used online for their social media and digital activities as well as offline on their trucks, for clothing and advertising boards.

La Villette Garage already had an existing logo which was made up of the Guille shield. I was tasked with updating the logo design whilst retaining this element.
The shield was given a more modern feel with the addition of a blue gradient, rather than just a flat blue background. I also added the text ‘La Villette Garage’ to the right of the shield and added a silver stroke to both logo elements.
One small quirk from the original logo that they wanted to roll over was a lower case ‘a’ on the word ‘La’, I implemented this into the design of the logo and it provides a nice continuity from the old to new logo version.

Channel Islands Access is a Guernsey registered & based company that offers industrial rope access services. I was commissioned by them to design a logo for the company.

The logo design needed to be dynamic, striking, bold and had to look good on a dark background. Green was chosen because of the obvious connection with Guernsey and the white and orange colours were chosen because of the aesthetic contrast between the green text and black background.
The logo appears in all promotional material, both online and offline, from their Facebook page and social media activity to clothing such as hoodies and t-shirts.

I was asked to design and produce a new logo for the Guernsey Hard of Hearing Association. The new logo design was to appear in a variety of places and on promotional materials from badges and flags to printed newsletters. The logo was also be used online on websites as well as social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook.
The charity already had an existing logo that looked somewhat dated, but it was decided to base the new logo on this recognisable symbol. The design was given an edgier and more modern feel and the text ‘Guernsey Hard of Hearing Association’ was incorporated too. A square formatted version of the logo was also designed for situations where the wider rectangle design was not appropriate.

Wowsers Trousers is demonstration e-commerce website for a shop selling men’s designer clothing online. It displays the various features and functions available to a modern online shop. The Wowsers Trousers logo was kept deliberately bold and simple to reflect the high class brands sold in the demonstrations e-commerce website.

When asked to design a logo for Guernsey hair salon ‘Heads Up’ I produced a logo that was bold, striking and simple. The logo I designed makes use of simple colour scheme of 2 shades of green indicating its Guernsey roots. Click on the image above or here for further information about the Heads Up Logo Design.
I was asked to design a logo for the Holiday Shop Online who specialise in selling holiday clothing & accessories. A palm tree was chosen as part of the logo design because a large percentage of products that the Guernsey based company sells (swimwear, flip flops, shorts & t-shirts) are very much summer and beach focused. Yellow was chosen as the second colour for the logo, again, because of the association with the sun & warmth. The typeface of the logo was deliberately bold & simple which resulted in a striking & modern logo design.
Hearing Therapy Services Guernsey also needed a logo to be designed which could be used online as well as offline on printed materials such as brochures and business cards. I created a logo that was stylish and relevant for use in the hearing therapy environment.

I was asked to re-brand the NJ Wakeschool with a new name, logo and website. The new identity needed impact and style. After initial discussions I came up with the name ‘Wake Experience’ as this took the emphasis off ‘school’ which meant that it would appeal to a wider range of people including adults. Once the name had been decided I was then able to produce a logo, website and branding guidelines that encapsulated the spirit of fun associated with wakeboarding.

I was approached to design a logo for Guernsey based ‘Shades Of Grace’ hair salon. The logo was to be bold, funky and trendy, but at the same time something that wouldn’t look dated a year or two down the line. The logo I produced makes use of simple colour scheme of silver, grey and black and also makes reference to the easily recognisable icon of a pair of hairdresser’s scissors.
As a co-founder I was responsible for the concept, name, logo and branding of RIP101. As such the design of the website and all supporting media was carefully produced in a way that would compliment the logo and follow branding guidelines that I set down.

Opta Enterprises is a Guernsey based business incubator specialising in the identification, valuation, protection and commercial exploitation of Intellectual Property. When I was asked to update the logo, there were several guidelines that I need to follow – namely colour and the type of font used. My solution was a simple, elegant logo which provides a modern feel to the Opta Enterprises website.

Nick and Julz Heaney wanted to completely re-vamp their website as it was looking tired and dated. I produced a new website logo as well as a site design that worked in tandem. The result was a logo and site that sums up their vibrant, rugged personalities.
